Notification barcodes are barcodes that are included in e-mail notifications. When scanned, a notification barcode simplifies the retrieval of all packages connected to the barcode, eliminating the need to look up a recipient and manually select packages.

There are two types of notification barcodes:

  • All Packages for Recipient. Retrieves all packages for the recipient that are in the specified status.
  • Recipient Transaction Packages. Retrieves all packages for the recipient from the transaction that triggered the notification and that match the specified status.

Each notification barcode is associated with a status and a barcode prefix. The barcode prefix is prepended to the generated barcode to distinguish it from standard tracking barcodes.

The Notification Barcodes section is located below the notifications list on the Notifications screen. The following columns are available:

  • Name. The display name of the notification barcode.
  • Type. The notification barcode type: All Packages for Recipient or Recipient Transaction Packages.
  • Status. The status associated with the notification barcode.
  • Edit. Opens the notification barcode editor to modify the entry.
