Users can be added or edited from the Users screen. To create a new user, click the Add button on the toolbar. To edit an existing user, select the user in the list and then click the Edit button on the toolbar. The User Editor will appear.
- Name. Unique user name that will be used to log in.
- Full Name. User's real name.
- E-mail. User's e-mail address. The e-mail address will be used for receiving e-mail notifications, multi-factor authentication, or resetting the user account and password.
- Phone Number. User's mobile phone number. The phone number will be used for receiving SMS notifications and multi-factor authentication.
- State. The state of the user's account. The state will be one of the following:
- Enabled. Account is active and can be logged in.
- Locked. The user is locked out of the system and will not be able to log in. This can be done by an administrator and will also happen automatically when the maximum number of allowed failed login attempts have been reached.
- Expired. Reserved for future use.
- Deleted. The user account has been deleted. The user account is still retained when it has been deleted for auditing purposes.
- Login Authentication. When the system's multi-factor authentication is enabled, the user will authenticate using this delivery method. The method will be one of the following:
- System Default. The user will use the system's default authentication method.
- None. The user will not use multi-factor authentication.
- Multi-factor(Email). The user will be sent an e-mail to authenticate during login.
- Multi-factor(SMS). The user will be sent a text message to authenticate during login.
- Change Password. Provide a password for the user's login. This is typically a default password that the user can change after logging in from the My Accounts page.
- Change at next logon. When enabled, the User must change their password then next time they log in the WorkStation or Web Portal.
- Permissions. Permissions assigned directly to the user. See Permissions for more information.
- Membership. Groups the user is a member of. See Groups for more information.
- Profiles. Profiles used when operating different TekTrack clients.
